How PageShift protects your PDF files

What happens when you upload a file?

1. You select a file in the browser.
2. PageShift sends it over an encrypted connection while processing it.
3. The file is handled by the selected PDF tool for the requested task.
4. You receive the output file when the task completes.
5. Temporary files are removed according to our document retention policy.

What PageShift does not do

We keep the product focused on processing tasks rather than long-term document storage.

• We do not sell uploaded documents.
• We do not use uploaded documents to train AI systems.
• We do not retain files longer than the documented processing window.

Who can access my file?

Access is limited to the processing workflow required to complete the task. PageShift does not position itself as a long-term document vault, and files are handled with a temporary-processing approach rather than permanent storage.

How long are files retained?

Files are retained only for the time needed to complete the current task and then removed according to our retention policy. Exact timing can vary by tool and processing workflow, but permanent storage is not part of the basic product experience.

Third-party processors

PageShift may rely on document-processing services in the background to complete conversion and manipulation tasks. If a tool uses a third-party processor, the relevant privacy and service disclosures should be reviewed in context before use on sensitive material.
